By connecting your August smart lock to Alexa, you can easily lock, unlock, and check the status of your lock. Alexa can even alert you when your battery is running low, ensuring you always have replacement batteries on hand through smart reorders with dash replenishment.

To ensure the perfect fit for your door, be sure to measure the backset, cross bore, and thickness. Installation is a breeze, simply attach the August Smart Lock to your existing deadbolt on the inside of your door with just a screwdriver in under 10 minutes.

With unique features like Door Sense, you'll always know if your door is securely closed or left open. The auto lock feature ensures your door locks automatically as you arrive, eliminating the need to fumble for keys, shopping bags, or wrangle kids while trying to unlock the door. The lock can be timed to automatically lock as the door closes and requires 110 to 240 volts.

For remote access or Alexa integrations, add the August Wi-Fi Connect Bridge (sold separately). For added security, consider adding the August Smart Keypad for secure key-code entry (also sold separately). Refer to the compatibility details in the PDF named "Other content" below.

Download the August App from the Apple Store or Google Play store to easily control your smart lock from your smartphone. The app requires iOS 9.0 or higher, or Android 5.0 or higher. Four AA batteries are included in the box for the initial installation and use.
